And now for something a little different

Most children have some kind of fascination with fire; I suppose we are all drawn to it in a primeval way. Our youngest was super keen to burn something other than wood in our Ironheart, so his Dad came up with the idea of two toy metal cars. He sat transfixed in front of the woodstove for ages watching it all unfold.

  1. Hi,
I have been reading your Esse posts since last year. Its been great to see you work each other out.
My name is Amanda and I work for a Heating Company that imports the Esses into Australia. We have an working Ironheart and a 900 model on a display trailer, which visits various home shows and Field Days around Australia.
I have too discovered the joy of cooking on and Esse and am currently working on installing one in my new home.
If you have any queries or suggestions, especially the recipes, I would love to hear about them. There are some great resources on our website as well.
Looking forward to hearing some more from you.

    Kind regards,

    1. Amanda, many thanks for stopping by to introduce yourself and tell me about you and your company’s interest in the Ironheart. We continue to be smitten by ours and I’m so keen to be cooking and baking with ours again when the cold weather returns in a few months. I will definitely be posting more recipes and more of our learning with the Ironheart. I’ll certainly check our your site and resources! Love to hear from you again.

I'd love to hear your thoughts
