Late summer planting

This morning I took advantage of space in the bed at the front of our house to plant Arugula, Batavian Endive and Early Palla Rosso Radicchio. My lettuces (Red Deer Tongue and Rouge Grenobloise) are still happily producing out front, while the ones in the back of the house (south facing) bolted a while ago. Will plant another round of lettuces out back soon, now that the days are becoming cooler.

We also have a lot of seeds for fall/winter crops that we will sow in pots for transplantation later, which will give us time to think about where the fall crops might find space in the ground and to get to work on our coldhouse for the winter crops. The summer is disappearing fast!

I'd love to hear your thoughts
